"THE terms have been familiar to people across South Wales for generations but the peculiarities of “Wenglish” have been compiled in a new book launched this week by a Cardiff author and linguist.
Terms like “cwtch”, “butt”, “bopa” and “jiw” are all included in Wenglish: The Dialect of the South Wales Valleys by Robert Lewis, the largest collection of Wenglish terms ever made."
