M4 relief road plan unveiled

"Plans for a 14-mile road to ease congestion on the M4 around Newport in south Wales have been announced. The road, between junctions 23 and 29, is expected to cost at least £350m and is likely to be tolled, but faces opposition from environmental groups."

"Tell your AM about the motorway proposal and the potential destruction of protected sites. Ask your AM to contact Ieuan Wyn Jones (Deputy First Minister of the Assembly and Welsh Assembly Government Minister for Economic Development and Transport) and inform him of the alternatives and the problems with this proposal."
