Google Translate Equilibrium

"A fun way to use machine translation services is to start with a text, translate it in a different language and then translate the result in the original language. Translation Party extends this idea by repeating the translation until the text is no longer modified. The service uses Google Translate's API and it translates English texts into Japanese and then back in English."

How to Layout a Book with OpenOffice.org

"It is all in your head: the plot, the characters, the locations, and even the scenes, but for some reason, staring at the blank page and blinking cursor makes you freeze. You like the idea of writing a book but cannot imagine actually completing it. If that feeling sounds familiar, then this might be the right article for you. Even if you have written a book and have it all ready to go, you may intend to self-publish it, start your own publishing company, send it to an editor, or just layout your book so you can see how it looks."

Tibetan Character Picker

"Includes all the characters in the Unicode Tibetan block. Consonants are mostly in a traditional articulatory arrangement, and digits in keypad order. Vowel signs are on the bottom row. The tsheg is at the bottom right of the consonant block. Hinting for visually similar glyphs is NOT yet implemented."

Walking Works

"Walking Works aims to encourage more people to walk to and from work, and to walk more during their working day. We do this by running national events such as Walk to Work Week, Walk Champion schemes and by giving online support to people who pledge to walk more. As part of the campaign, we work directly with businesses to help them promote walking and encourage their employees to use walking as a way to travel actively."

English to Tibetan Online Dictionary

"This is the first online dictionary to translate English to Tibetan. Many wonderful dictionaries currently exist to search for Tibetan words and find their English equivalent (and a good argument could be made as to why this function may be more important), however in order for any sort of true information exchange you must have two way communication.

The focus of this website will be on modern spoken (colloquial) Tibetan. A few key Buddhist words will likely be included (again, a case could be made for a dictionary that takes a term like "correct view" and gives you the Tibetan "yang dag pa'i lta ba", but that is beyond the scope of this dictionary)."
