"Fluency is very much like happiness or success. It comes in fits and starts. If you relax and let things flow around you, there’s a good chance that you’ll experience “fluency” in parts of your Welsh. They are the bits that come easily, without having to think about them. To start with it may just be greetings or certain question / answer combinations, or you may have progressed to using certain sentences or patterns without thinking. Look for those fluent areas, recognise them, congratulate yourself on them, and work with them: You’ll soon find out that you’re a lot more fluent than you realised. Better still, if you can recognise that the “other bits” are only temporarily not “fluent” and do a bit of work on them, your fluency will grow and grow."
