Three paramedics have begun using mountain bikes instead of ambulances in an effort to speed up response times in Cardiff's city centre. The six week trial covers the city's pedestrian precincts and shopping arcades on three of the busiest days of the week.
One of the paramedics said the scheme, which is backed by businesses, had enabled them to reach patients quicker.
