Lavernock Fort

"Now, the place sits totally deserted, isolated near the edge of the cliffs. An imaginary line drawn directly south from Lavernock marks the end of the Bristol Channel and the start of the River Severn (and haven’t you wondered where that is?). There’s some graffiti. The sounds of seagulls. Since the holiday camp was built, commandeering the road (Fort Road) that leads to the barracks, there’s no road access. If you didn’t know where Lavernock Fort was, you’re pretty unlikely to stumble across it by accident."
