It stands on a slight mound on the banks of the still tidal River Loughor. This square stone wall is the boundary wall of the former church of St Teilo, which a few years ago was moved, stone by stone, and later rebuilt 50 miles away at the Museum of Welsh Life at St Fagans on the western edge of Cardiff. Archbishop of Cardiff George Stack to be installed

St Mary's Church, Llanfair Kilgeddin, Monmouth - The Sgraffito Murals by Heywood Sumner.

"St Mary's was rebuilt in 1875-6 by the architect John Dando Sedding who carefully reused some of the original fabric and introduced a rich decorative scraffito scheme."

He was a distinguished figure in the continued regeneration of the decorative arts in England at the turn of the century and a central figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement.
